Four Days Czech'ing Out Prague - A Travel Review

09:00:00

Hey Guys,

Yes! You've guessed it, I'm back with another travel review post and this time it's all about Prague. Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and has become a very popular travel destination in recent times. Whether you're going for a stag night or looking for a nice city getaway for a weekend, Prague is definitely a destination which can cater to all.

I have to say that Prague is probably my favourite city in Europe I've visited for a while. I think it has character and it is very pretty like a magical kingdom. I also stayed in a hostel for a night and met lovely people from all over the globe. We all follow each other on social media and still talk a little bit!

Today's post is going to focus on the highs and lows of this destination. I hope you enjoy!!

The Positives

The Food - One of the things I remember most about Prague is that the food available to us was great. Not only was there a lot of great places, but it was great value for money. I have written a post about 4 places to eat in Prague, so if you've a trip planned soon, I'd recommend you read it here!

Affordability - Like a lot of places in Eastern Europe, it seems that you get a lot of bang for your buck in Prague. Food and attractions were very good value for money. Ad and I rented a paddling boat for an hour for 6 euros. That was only 3 euro each!

Nightlife - I love a good pub crawl. You get to meet lots of people, you get a taste of the nightlife of a city you've visited and usually, you can get pretty drunk without breaking the bank. We went to the Drunken Monkey Pub Crawl, one which runs daily. This included an unlimited amount of drinks in the initial venue, followed by a guided tour to three other venues where a shot was provided at entry. I seriously had so much fun the night I went to this pub crawl. On a separate night, I went to a club which had a different theme of music on each floor. Prague seriously has some of the best nightlife I've personally experienced on my travels and I think it would be a good place for a stag night, a hen party or a lads holiday. Just remember to be respectful as a tourist and not to act too ridiculous.

Architecture - Something which made me personally fall in love with Prague was the architecture. The beautiful pastel coloured buildings are just not something we have at home and I had to snap as many pictures as I could. You feel like you're in a magical kingdom in Prague and you just get carried away in that world when you're there.

Lots to do - You'll never be bored in Prague. Whether you're renting a paddle boat, visiting the castle or exploring the streets, there is something for everyone. Read on further to find out a bit more about what we got up to during our visit!

The Negatives

As I've said previously, Prague is one of my favourite cities I've been to and I can honestly say that I can't really fault the place. It's beautiful, there's lots to do, there is lots of transport available and it is cheap. The one thing I will say is that I did have one little fall when I was there. I was walking around while we were looking for somewhere to eat and there was an unexpected dip in the pavement which made me trip. I can hardly fault the city for that though. It was more my own ignorance that caused that to happen.

What we didn't do

We pretty much covered the top things to do in Prague during our time there. If you'd like to find out more, I would suggest conducting research on trip advisor about museums etc.

A list of things we did
